Loving From the Heart

True and honest love emanates from the heart chakra - a.k.a. heart center. The heart chakra is also where other virtuous emotions emanate, such as joy, happiness, honesty, respect, compassion, understanding, and generosity, and with loving oneself in a sincere, non-egotistic way. The heart chakra is through which you connect with others whom you love or have affection towards. Once forged, these links are very difficult to break, which is why people suffer so much through the break-up of a relationship or the loss of a loved one.

Expressing love can be as easy as giving a hug to someone after having established a connection. This gesture makes your love more powerful and the depth of what you feel more meaningful. By connecting with your heart chakra, you will be able to express the real nature of your feelings and spread love to all whom you encounter.

There will be times when you demonstrate your affection, and you might not feel completely honest and your actions do not match your emotions. Reaching within your heart and connecting to your spirit and the love that it contains, however, allows you to act from a place of purity and unconditional love.

Opening to your heart chakra strengthens the feelings you have for those in your life-family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and colleagues. When you are with people, you can imagine there is a golden light emanating from within your heart center. Contained within this light are all the love, peace and goodwill you wish for others. As you extend this love, picture this light expanding and enveloping them and you-thus, making it easier to communicate those feelings. You will find that expressing your feelings from your heart center brings you closer to others in a warm and profound way.

7 Reasons to Invest in Your Own Personal Development During a Recession

Whether you've been made redundant, put on short time or are still in a job, now is a great time to invest in yourself and your future.

It's easy to think; 'times are hard, I'm not going to spend on a luxury like personal development'.This is short-sighted!Investing in yourself means that you will:

  1. Be better placed to react when the upturn comes- either to gain promotion or to find a great job.
  2. Feel more in control
  3. Become stronger and develop your level of resilience
  4. Be able to work more effectively
  5. Be able to manage stress better
  6. Give yourself space to think about who you are and what you want to do (vital if you're 'between jobs')
  7. Feel more positive and optimistic about your situation.

All this for a few Dollars and a few hours of your time? You'd be mad to say no!

So, forget the expensive business school courses and check out the lower cost options available to you..

You could:

  • Search the internet for free articles, e-books and audio downloads - there are loads of 'freebies' out there thoug, be aware,it is of varying quality and you might not get everything you need.
  • Purchase some cost effective self-directed e-workbooks, DVDs and MP3 downloads (Note: many authors who create on-line products also offer support with the products they sell.By carefully selecting the authors and materials you can find you're getting much more than a PDF download for your money.)
  • Check out Amazon or e-bay for second hand books and DVDs (or use your local lending library)
  • See whether you're entitled to any free courses or training at your local college.
  • Check out the range of low-costs courses your local college offers. Some are one day events, others may run over a few weeks either in the day or the evening.
  • Sign up for some forums where you can have 'virtual chat' with others who have similar needs and questions.

If it feels hard and difficult right now, things will change. Whatever our financial commentators may say, there is a cycle to all this and although we might not be able to say 'when', we can be assured that things will get better. Why not take control and prepare for that day rather than being pushed around by something and someone which is outside of your control?

Amish Lifestyles in a Modern World

I consider myself a normal person in the fast-paced world, probably just like you. We have our luxuries that we take for granted and never even notice we have them unless we have a power outage. Through my relationship with the Amish, and my desire to learn more about their customs and work ethic, I recently offered my services to assist one of the families of fourteen (14) on their small family farm. I was soon regretting that decision. I found myself assisting the young Amish children, ages 7 through 13, in throwing wheat sheaves onto a horse drawn hay wagon . Needless to say, the young Amish children put me to shame. I could not keep up!

I have learned that the Amish are very hard working and decent people with an unbelievable work ethic . They are trained from a very young age that if a job is worth doing it is a job worth doing right. That instilled value is what makes their products so special. They live a very simple life with minimal furnishings in their homes. It goes without saying that there are no refrigerators, televisions, computers, radios, electricity, telephones, fans, etc. What took me by surprise was finding there are no pictures, doilies, what-knots, or even couches inside their homes! An Amish home is furnished with wooden beds, handmade quilts, basic dressers, a kitchen table with a few hardwood chairs, and wooden floors without even a throw rug.

The families within this area are carried in a black buggy type carriage, which is pulled by horses. It is not unusual to see a young boy around the age of 9, controlling a team of horses pulling him around a field on a wagon or buckboard. These wagons have wooden wheels with large spokes or thick steel wheels. The wagon wheels have to be sturdy in order to carry logs to the sawmill or hay to the barn. The Old Order Amish do not use rubber on their wheels; even the hub is wood. A metal band (steel tire rim) actually rolls on the roadway. The wheels are a lot like the western wheels shown on the covered wagons except a little bit more narrow.

Amish handmade unique gift ideas for your country western home and garden decor. Rustic horse drawn buggy wagon wheels, cannon wheels, handcrafted baskets, heavy duty barn stars, quilts, fine furniture, birdhouses, and rustic furniture for your log cabin or to decorate your primitive landscape. Proudly made in the USA. Vernon Christian, dba Amish Wares, 877-644-6229. http://www.amishwares.com

Self-Awareness - The 3 Keys to Achievement - Attitude, Action and Acknowledgment

"Learn to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want." ~Anonymous
Most people want to achieve success but it is important to be mindful that the definition of success may be different for each individual. In order to achieve what you want there are three important elements - attitude, actions and acknowledgments.

Attitude

The first step is to assess your attitude and how it helps or hinders your achievements. If negative beliefs keep popping up, it generally results in an unproductive outcome. Negative thinking can consist of constant worry, "what if" scenarios or not trusting yourself to manage and cope. Constant negativity tends to block creativity. When you assume the worst it is hard to think and complete things. Have you ever had one of those days when doubt keeps cropping up. Eg. "I'll never complete this project on time." or " I don't think my boss believes I am capable." With these kinds of thoughts on your mind, how effective will you be in completing your work?

A positive attitude contributes to a belief that you have the ability to handle situations. It does not mean that you always have a "happy, nothing can bother me attitude", but rather when stuff happens you are able to deal with it. You want to make sure that you do not magnify the positive and minimize the negative and thereby don't see the reality of a situation. As you move up the career ladder you will need to be able to accurately assess both the positives and negatives and then make decisions.

Actions

Actions are your behaviors, the things you do which move you toward your goals. Taking action is an important step towards achievement. People sometimes assume that only big things count as taking action. However it is often the small, steady actions which contribute to you reaching your goals.

Inaction is paradoxically a form of action. If you have difficulty or avoid making decisions because you want to be sure you only do the "right" thing, you often end up doing nothing. You may also choose to do nothing because you have determined that it is the right decision at the time.

Sometimes fear may prevent you from doing or trying things that will lead you toward achievement. Perhaps you have a fear of public speaking, but you need to develop the skill in order to move your career or business forward. It would be important to begin to take small action steps, doing things that will make you more comfortable with speaking in public.

Maybe you have difficulty saying "no" which results in you constantly taking on additional assignments leading to being overwhelmed. Your action might be to begin saying "no" or a variation of "no." This might be something such as, "that would mean two projects to be completed at the same time, which would you like me to work on?" or "In order to do that I would have to delegate some of my other work. Is that OK with you?"

Acknowledgments

Paying attention to what you have completed or accomplished and expressing gratitude for what you have and towards others are powerful strategies for moving you forward in your life.

There may be people you know who have difficulty accepting a compliment. They might either ignore or minimize it. This generally relates to someone's self image. If you do not consider yourself "worthy" of positives then you tend to discard them. This may be a remnant from childhood when perhaps you received a lot of criticism. It is important to remember when you disregard positive feedback, you are conveying a message of disrespect towards the person who is offering it.

Acknowledging and expressing appreciations is also important. Walking down the street and saying hello to people, holding a door open or saying thank you are small ways of acknowledging others. When you do things for others or have them done for you, how does it impact your mood?

Evaluate your definition of success. The three components of achieving the life you desire are your attitude, your actions and acknowledgments. Perhaps now is a good time to become more aware of how you use these qualities in your daily life.

What Faithful Religious Followers

How can you honestly understand someone else's opinion if they sincerely differ from yours? For years I have been trying to understand the beliefs portrayed by organized religions around the world. Whenever someone is explaining part of their religion to me and I bring something to their attention, about their religion, and they don't know the answer, their replies always seem to be based around faith. You just need to believe.

I've been asking people for years, why do you believe? The answers vary from time to time but the essence of the answers are similar. Our conversations seem to start out with a few facts, which leads us into a friendly discussion about their religious beliefs and how they were formed. Whenever I start to dig a little too deep or ask some of these people questions that they don't have the answers to, the conversation always ends abruptly and the word faith always seems to appear.

I feel like this is the easy way out for religious believers.

I'm sure that they get frustrated with me, asking them questions about their religions, that they can't answer. Most of these people won't even bother to find the answers for themselves either, this has often irritated me, but at the same time I think I understand. Most people want to be a part of something but won't take the time to be involved in it. Living a life based on a little information, a lot of hope and the rest completely immersed in faith, seems like a life that is lived without questioning the most important thing in your life.

If I went to a place of worship and asked this question "What's the Most Important Thing in Your Life?" I would imagine most of these people would tell me it was their God or gods. God seems to be the main focus on their lives but they don't seek to understand how he came to be, why he doesn't help the poor, why won't God communicate with us, or even something as simple as understanding some, at the least 10% of your religion.

I don't believe there's anything wrong with living a faithful life. I have faith in things that are out of my control and am still seeking answers to their origins and existence. The sun, Earth, air, water and even God. I suggest to religious, nonbelievers and spiritual people all over the world, to gather a little more information about your beliefs, if they are indeed important to you.

Live with High Energy Drive Successfully

Imagine a world where what you do is enjoy life and work is simply a part of your enjoyment? Can you see it yet?

I woke up this morning to cloudy gray skies and drizzling rain, chilling the atmosphere. After I prepared a lovely breakfast of rye muffins, eggs, and grape juice I settled in front of my computer with a nice hot cup of tea. This is my favorite place to write.

Im not rushing, Im just enjoying my life, and youre reading what I love to do.

You can do what you love to do and earn a living doing it too. It doesnt have to be writing, it can be anything. Ill show you how.

1. Take a vacation.

Have you ever noticed, the most successful people take time to have fun? They plan vacations into their lives, the keep family time separate from work time, and they enjoy what they do. Its a choice. Take time out for fun and enjoy your life.

2. Give generously.

Donate to charity. Give to the poor. Tithe to your church. Give generously from your heart. What you have comes from God, it was given to you - give it back. God is your Provider, and He provides plenty. When you see someone in need, give.

3. Forgive those who trespass against you.

Forgive those who owe you a debt so you may be forgiven. When you hold a grudge against your neighbor, you prevent the gift of forgiveness from being given to you. You cant open your heart and accept the gift of love until you learn to let go of the grudges and forgive.

4. Love without fear.

The love you give comes from an endless storehouse of love. You can love without fear, without worry. Theres more love to give. Youre not limited to a specific amount of love in your life, theres always more available. Give it away freely.

5. Take care of yourself.

Youre important. Youre a valuable being, created in the image of God. You deserve to be cared for, loved, and provided well, because you are precious and wonderful.

6. Save something for tomorrow.

Because planning ahead is important, keep something for tomorrow. Invest in your future and show good stewardship with your finances. Follow the old principle of owing no-one. Live a life free of debts and encumbrances by planning ahead for any emergency.

7. Do what you love.

Learn to do well that which you love and do it expecting to earn good wages for what you do. Charge what you deserve and always give more than you get. Your value is far above jewels and precious metals, because you are worthy of your pay.

So, where are you at today? Are you feeling low and down, wondering how to get out of the hole, or are you climbing close to the mountain top, hoping you can find a pentacle to rest upon?

Or are you enjoying life?

Ways to Make Money

What are the best ways to make money?

If you answered, a job, then you have been brainwashed like most Americans into believe that working for a company is the best way to make money. It is absolutely NOT one of the best ways to make money. Why not?

Most jobs have the following problems:

1. The time trap. You are trading your time for money. Even if you are a salaried employee, you are accepting a salary for a set number of hours that you will work each week. If you dont work, you dont get paid. Most companies want you to work the most amount of time for the least money and you want to work the least amount of time for the most money. The job game is a lose-lose game.

2. No passive income. If you stop working for any period of time, you stop receiving paychecks. Your money doesnt work for you.

3. No intellectual capital. If you are an employee, your company owns your intellectual capital. Its like your company owns your brain. You cannot sell or share your ideas and earn money.

4. No control. You have no control over your work life and therefore your life. You cannot choose where you work, when you work, or who you work with. Most companies require a lot of face time. Even if you could get your work done in 4 hours each day, you usually need to spend 8-10 hours onsite to prove that you are a loyal employee. You have no control over most of the decisions that are being made at your company. Bad decisions made by others could put your company out of business and then you get downsized or rightsized or simply laid-off.

5. No leverage. Entertainers and professional athletes make lots and lots of money because they have leverage. Millions of people watch them. They can make one movie or play one game a week and make buckets of money because they are reaching a huge audience with a few hours of their time. In a job, your efforts reach a limited audience. You cannot give a speech to your department and record it and then turn it into a teleclass that you sell over and over again on your website. You have no leverage.

So, what are some better ways to make money without going to a job?

1. Start a business. Yes, lots of businesses fail. But small businesses are the engine of growth in this country. It took Bill Gates 10 years to become a billionaire with Microsoft. It took Michael Dell 5 years to become a billionaire with Dell. What you need is a solid plan and then the courage to execute the plan and the discipline to market your products or services consistently. There has never been a better time to get rich by starting a company. What are your goals? When do you want to achieve those goals?

If you want to start a business quickly and dont have the necessary business fundamentals or want a pre-designed, proven system, then look into joining a network marketing company. If you can find a product you love, a company with a proven marketing system and a management with integrity, you can develop a great passive income stream.

Do your own research and see if it makes sense for you to start your company from ground zero or join a network marketing company. There are lots of good network marketing companies to choose from. (There are also lots that arent such good bets.)

2. Real Estate. Isnt this risky? There are no risky real estate investments, only risky investors. You can minimize risk through education and experience.

Dont you need money to get into real estate investing? For most commercial real estate deals, yes. But you can succeed with no-money down investing in the residential arena. In fact, it may be better to start out investing with no money of your own because you will only do great deals. You will not waste any of your money chasing marginal deals.

Land is in limited supply, especially near the oceans. Land will almost always increase in value. There may be some small corrections in the short term, but if you invest in the right areas, chances are they will appreciate. Plus, you can learn to make money in up and down markets.

3. Investing in other companies. Many people put their money in a mutual fund or index fun and are happy with 5-10% appreciation each year. But, there are other ways to invest. Investigate individual stocks. What products and services do you love so much that you tell other people about them? Remember, you make a profit when you buy not when you sell. It is impossible to know what the future holds. Do your homework. Find stocks that are bargains today.

4. Selling your intellectual capital. Another good way to make money is to develop products and services around your ideas. These could include books, tapes and CDs, workshops, videos, etc. This is a great way to create passive income streams.

My purpose here is not to give you a roadmap for becoming a CEO or a successful investor but to open your mind to the possibilities. There are so many great opportunities. If you are staying in a job that you hate because you think it is the best way to make money, then, think again.

Making Money Writing Online

Making money writing online can be your ticket to financial freedom, but it's certainly no easy ride. In order to succeed, you have to have a determined, professional attitude and a willingness to work towards satisfying the needs of your clients. If that hasn't put you off, you may be positioned to start making money writing online, without any contacts or experience.

Writing for clients online by and large doesn't have to be magazine standard, and in fact, most of the content out there couldn't be further in terms of quality. A number of clients post jobs online for SEO content, which simply requires unique, reasonably well written articles. Articles which require little or no research, and very little technical input other than scattering a few keywords throughout the text.

These articles can sell for anywhere between $5-$50, and are generally around 400-500 words in length - a fast typist can easily sustain a rate of 2,000 words an hour. If you do the math, you'll see that making money writing online is not only possible, but extremely likely - if you write 4 short articles per hour, you could be looking at a $200 p/hour rate. Not too shabby.

Making money writing online starts with getting involved in freelance bidding sites. These sites allow you to win (usually) smaller projects, but can be a great way to hone your skills and land long-term clients, provided you handle the first few projects in a careful, professional way so as not to put off the client.

Don't blow your chances of making money writing online - visit ContentWritingRiches.com to learn how to survive as a successful content writer.

Make Money Through Internet Marketing Without Spending a Dime

Internet marketing is definitely one of the smartest and most profitable ways to become a business person, because it has the power to literally skyrocket your income within a 6 month period without you having to spend a single buck. Indeed, there is not other business venture that can beat internet marketing in cost vs. benefit, as you can tackle this business and make big money with as little as $30 in your pocket. The only things you will really require to guarantee your success are:

1) Knowhow and brain power.

2) Effort and dedication.

This means that you have to commit yourself to learning and then working a little, so all you need is an educational resource (to ensure an efficient and profitable use of your time) and time dedication (at least few hours during the day at the beginning).

I know this sounds a bit hard for some people, because everyone expects internet money to be easy money, and up to some point this can be true, but not in the sense that you can make money doing nothing, but in the sense that you can make a lot of money spending and doing far less than you would within a traditional business model.

You are well aware that starting any traditional business will demand lot of money and effort right?

Well, making money through internet marketing demands exactly the same, only that you will need nearly zero money and less effort.

On top of that, making money through internet marketing is something you can do anywhere (at home, at your office, on the road) as long as you have access to the internet.

Believe me, I have tried pretty much everything to make money, and absolutely no other business has the potential to deliver a 10,000+ per month income starting with only your brain power and some hard work.

Bathroom Rugs - Necessity Or Fashion Accessory?

Bathroom rugs are extremely popular in areas around the world such as Los Angeles, where a warm climate encourages individuals to keep their floors bare most of the year. With the extremely popular bathroom rugs that are so common in these areas, it is easy to create some warmth in the winter simply by putting down a bathroom rug and allowing the product to do its job. With the increased popularity of bathroom rugs in areas such as Los Angeles, it is easy to see that there is no end in sight for these types of products. With so many people and so many individuals making so much of an effort to utilize bathroom rugs in areas such as Los Angeles, it is not surprising that the popularity for these types of products has begun to skyrocket for those individuals and who are in need of some type of covering for their bathroom floor.

While many individuals avoid putting a bathroom rug down due to the moisture and amount of water that gets splashed around in the bathroom, there are specifically designed bathroom rugs that repel water and are less likely to be subjected to mildew. Utilizing these types of bathroom rugs is a good way to keep your floors warm for your comfort if you get out of the bath as well as increasing the level of safety and preventing slips. Slipping and falling in the bathroom is one of the most common incidents of injury in the home. It is a good idea to avoid this type of injury with the use of a bathroom rug, especially in warmer areas around the world that tend to have bare floors, such as Los Angeles. With a bare floor, you can keep your house cool in the summer, and when winter comes along, you can put down a bathroom rug to keep your feet warm.

With the emphasis on bare floors and bathroom rugs in cities such as Los Angeles that traditionally keep floors bare in the summer, it seems obvious that there is a great need for a type of covering on floors in the winter in order to preserve the warmth of the room as well as provide comfort for people who walk barefoot in the mornings after getting out of bed. By providing a warm surface such as a bathroom rug, you can make your home more comfortable all around.

You Can Write Articles For Publicity and Profit - Writing Articles Is Much Easier Than You Think

If you think you can't write articles, think again.

I used to think that too and I discovered that it's not true. Writing articles is much easier than you think. Like everything else, it's easy when you know how.

The hardest thing you'll do is actually start and keep going.

For years I've let the perfectionist monster stop me. If I couldn't do it perfectly, I didn't do it. Recently I've given myself permission to let something be 'good enough'. Now, after years of dreaming about writing, I'm actually doing it. I have articles in article directories and on other people's blogs and web sites.

Yesterday, eleven of my articles were picked up and used by other people. And I was approached by an article directory and asked to submit to their directory.

I'm not telling you this to boast. I'm telling you to encourage you to believe that you can do it too.

How did I do it?

I began by looking to see what other people were doing and getting an idea of how I could do it. I read articles on writing articles, and writing titles and resource boxes that work. Then I listened to some free teleseminars. Now there's no stopping me. Last week I wrote two articles. This week it will be four.

When I started, it took me all day to craft an article. Now, I can write and submit an article in less than 3 hours. I'm aiming to get that down to just an hour.

You get faster with each article you write. The key is not to spend too long thinking. Let the words flow, don't edit as you write. Editing comes later, once you've written your first draft.

Action steps

Is Cheap Article Writing Right For You?

It can be really difficult to find cheap article writing services which also offer high quality content. However, it is not all impossible. In fact, if you are willing to engage in an in depth search, you can easily find a good writer with an affordable price list.

Of people who are looking for cheap writers often make one, huge mistake. They make the mistake of automatically going for the cheapest writers and articles. That may seem like the point, but you have to remember that you can get a well written article for an affordable price. That way, you do not have to based on your time correcting someone else's mistakes.

At present, there are a lot of freelance writers out there. The majority of them are willing to jump through to hoops to give you the best product possible. But there are always some rotten apples in the barrel. There will always be some writers who act like they write better than they do.

In the end, this makes it harder for other freelance writers. It gives them a bad reputation. Think about how you would feel if you hired someone to write articles for you and got back something badly written in return. Even if the articles were cheap, would you not be wary of ever hiring another freelance writer? It sours the whole experience.

You can stop this from happening. All you need to do is ask the new writers to give you examples of their work. They can write a sample article, or they can rewrite write an example that you give them. This will give you the opportunity to judge their skills, as well as how good they are at grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

You have to realize, there is an abundance of freelance writers who consider it their duty to turn in the best work they possibly can. Moreover, they work for very reasonable rates. It is not at all necessary to wind up with poorly written final products just because you cannot afford to pay a lot.

It may be necessary to invest some time and effort if you are looking to find a good writer to provide cheap articles. But you have to agree that the effort would be well worth it. You never know, you might wind up finding the best writer with whom you have ever worked. Stranger things have certainly happened.

Debt Reaffirmation - What is It?

Before and during a bankruptcy, creditors will encourage the consumer to sign a debt reaffirmation document. This agreement is a promise to the creditor that the consumer will pay the debt after the bankruptcy. So, the debt isn't removed during the bankruptcy, and the consumer is still obligated to pay it afterward.

Consumers can be guilted into reaffirming their debts by creditors because they never wanted to file for bankruptcy in the first place and legitimately want to repay their debts. But consumers will try to reaffirm too much of their debt, and all the benefits bankruptcy was supposed to achieve can be lost.

Since reaffirming debt in a bankruptcy is not usually a wise idea, the agreement must be permitted by the court. Three conditions the court considers when reviewing a reaffirmation agreement are:

  • It should be undertaken voluntarily
  • It must be in the consumer's best interest
  • It must not unduly burden the consumer or the consumer's family

The reaffirmations that are most likely to be approved by the court are those involving auto loans because transportation is viewed as crucial to most consumers.

When it comes to keeping your car after a bankruptcy, however, reaffirmation isn't the only way to do it. Many car manufacturers would rather have the payments on a car instead of the car itself, especially nowadays with the demand for cars in the toilet. So, it's likely that as long as you keep making the payments, you can keep the car.

One of the only benefits of reaffirming debt is that it can help to rebuild your credit score more quickly after a bankruptcy because a debt will carry over. However, this is only true if you keep up with the payments on the debt; otherwise, reaffirmation was most likely a mistake.

Reaffirmation has several other names that consumers should recognize like reviving, re-establishing and re-aging. Also, reaffirmation does not only occur during bankruptcies. Consumers need to be extremely careful because collectors can attempt to persuade or even outright trick a consumer into reaffirming an uncollectible debt.

Once the consumer has done this, the statute of limitations resets and the collector is free to try and collect the debt once again completely legally. This means that the collector can use legal collection tactics such as wage garnishments and lawsuits.

The statute of limitations of forced collection for credit card debt is usually between three to six years. A defaulted debt stays on your credit report for seven years after collection begins or the debt is charged off, whichever occurs first. So, it doesn't reset every time the debt may be sold off or purchased during those seven years, which is good news for the consumer.

Consumers should be wary of notices sent by collection agencies asking for some sort of affirmation of the debt in question to be sent back because this is usually enough to effectively reaffirm the debt. Although verbal affirmations don't usually hold up in court, it's wise not to admit to anything a seemingly friendly debt collector might ask over the phone.

A good rule of thumb is to admit nothing up-front and require everything in writing. Ask the collection agency to sign a written statement that outlines the specifics of the debt including the delinquency date and original creditor. Also, this statement should confirm that the agency has the proper authority to be collecting on this debt at this time.

Most collectors will not sign a statement like the one outlined above because they either cannot legally sign it or realize that collecting from this particular consumer appears to be more trouble than it is worth.

All in all, debt reaffirmation is rarely a smart financial decision in bankruptcy or otherwise. Thus, it's best to avoid them during bankruptcy and take precautions not to accidentally agree to them at other times. Of course, it's always wise to keep track of your debts, but it can be especially useful when a collector attempts to collect an expired debt from you.

Is Guilt Feeding on Your Conscience, Affecting Your Subconscious Mind Negatively?

Guilt is one of the largest causes of stress in your life. Stop reading this article for a second and think about the people in your lives that often make you feel guilty.

Now did you really stop reading the article and think about the people in your life who make you feel guilty? Okay well if you did this get back to the guilty feelings so many of us have. Guilt goes all the way back to your childhood, your parents, teachers, friends and relatives have gotten to be pretty good at it over the years, often learning from the same group of people when they were children.

Guilt is definitely a big part of our society and can be found almost everywhere you turn. Have you ever turned the television on to notice a commercial about weight loss. A large majority of Americans are overweight and are targets for a guilt creating society.

I was reading a book on writing magazine articles, when they mentioned a fact that I never thought of, most women's magazines run articles on dieting in every issue. Guilt sells magazines.

Do you think weight loss, dieting or nutritional eating habits, sell magazines? If your answer is no, you should check the financial statements of these companies. They know what sells magazines and guilt or fear is one of their best friends. If you answered yes to the question, you won't have to suffer from the guilt of not knowing the answer.

Guilt seems to work on our subconscious mind in negative ways, often producing harmful thoughts that create stressful feelings in our lives. The longer these negative thoughts are held as truths, the harder it's going to be on our self esteem.

If you find yourself around people that make you feel guilty for something you do or don't do on a regular basis, I would suggest finding new people to hang around with. Gathering negative information from people you consider your friends can only create more damage to your conscience.

If you truly and sincerely do not like something about yourself, tell your friends in a nice way, that you would rather talk about your problems in a negative way. If they have constructive and helpful comments, you would love to hear them. Guilt causes stress and stress can lead to death. If you don't believe that, do some research on stress related illnesses.

Going To Heaven Or Not

The Modern Kitchen Backsplash Look

It used to be that counter tops and cabinets ruled the kitchen design world. Today, most homeowners have been introduced to a part of the kitchen that was previously overlooked: the backsplash. Aside from those regular white subway tiles, this small space has recently undergone a few modern changes.

While a white backsplash is fine, it is also rather bland and boring. Those that are in the process of renovating may want to consider a material that has been around for centuries: glass. Glass has reared its translucent head lately adding a whole new, glamorous, look to the kitchen space.

Edgy, a bit futuristic, and somewhat unique, a glass backsplash is just the right amount of design spice that you need in order to give your kitchen a boost. Miniscule mosaic tiles that come in bright cherry reds, deep ocean blues, and fantastic green colors are really starting to gain attention lately.

Nearly every design show across the world this year featured some type of glass backsplash. Deceptively simple, these small shards of glass simply seem to fit within the designs of today. The best way to create this look inside of your home is to think on a smaller scale.

As opposed to those large white Sixties style tiles that were once all the rage, you want to choose glass tiles that are very small. You will find that they come in penny shapes, shards, crystals, and ovals, so feel free to mix and match for a really distinctive look.

Expense wise, these tiles tend to run from $15 to $18 per square foot, which makes them a great alternative to other materials. While they may seem slightly modern, these tiles actually look great when they are added to a traditional European kitchen design.

While you are considering the various colors offered, do not overlook the natural glass color. When placed in front of a great, soft, light, these small glass tiles give off a rainbow of soft blues and greens that are almost ethereal to gaze upon. If you are in the midst of designing your kitchen, think about glass.

For years, the backsplash has been overlooked by designers and homeowners alike. Those days are over. The backsplash is your canvas, so create something beautiful and dramatic with it.

Grow Organic Vegetables

There are more reasons than ever why anybody with access to a few square feet of the outdoors should grow their own organic vegetables.

You may be shocked at how much of the produce at your local supermarket has been genetically modified. Some estimates now put this at over 50%. While there is no strong evidence that genetically modified foods are immediately harmful to your health, there are no long term studies either. Do you want to take that risk?

Lets take a look at pesticides and fertilizers. Farmers no longer use crop rotation or natural manures to improve soil fertility, so they are forced to use ever increasing amounts of chemicals to improve yields and multiple pesticides to protect the weakened plants. Pesticides penetrate deeply into the leaves of plants and pestiside residues remain even after you have scrubbed them.

To quote from The Environmental Protection Agency Pesticides are designed to kill pests. Many pesticides can also pose risks to people. The health effects of pesticides depend on the type of pesticide. Some, such as the organophosphates and carbamates, affect the nervous system. Others may irritate the skin or eyes. Some pesticides may be carcinogens. Others may affect the hormone or endocrine system in the body.

Sure you can, and should, buy organic fruit and vegetables but have you seen the prices? Anybody with even a modest vegetable garden can grow healthy organic vegetables at much lower cost than those at the local supermarket. Not only can you grow them at much lower cost, but you can grow them one hundred percent better.

Even the long-keeping vegetables such as potatoes, onions and squash are noticeably tastier picked straight from the home vegetable garden; but when it comes to peas and corn and salad vegetables- well , there is absolutely nothing to compare with the home garden ones, gathered fresh, in the early slanting sunlight, still gemmed with dew, still crisp and tender and juicy, ready to carry every atom of savory quality and taste, without loss, to the dining table.

It is not in price or health alone that home gardening pays. There is another point. Agribusiness has to grow the things that give the biggest yield. They have to sacrifice quality and taste for quantity and long shelf life. You do not. The strawberries on the supermarket shelves may look bright and red and uniform but you will soon find they taste more like the cardboard of their containers when compared to a home grown variety picked straight from the vine.

And this brings us to what may be the most important reason you should garden. It is the cheapest, healthiest pleasure there is. Give me a sunny garden patch in the springtime, give me seeds to watch as they find the light, plants to tend as they take hold in the fine, loose, rich soil, give me succulent and tasty springtime salads. And when you have grown tired of the springtime, come back in summer to even the smallest garden, and you will find in it, every day, a new vista, new pleasures and, yes, new challenges.

Better food, better health, better living -- all these the home vegetable garden offers you in abundance. So, turn off that computer, pull out some old clothes and find a spot to dig.

Will the World Ever Be As One

Imagine There's No Heaven, It's Easy If You Try, No Hell below Us, above Us Only Sky, Imagine All the People Living for Today. Imagine There's No Countries, It Isn't Hard to Do, Nothing to Kill or Die for, and No Religion Too. Imagine All the People Living Life in Peace. Think about It.

It's hard to imagine, with the information today and even 50 years ago that most people still believe in religions all over the world, just because they were raised to believe in them. Religions of the future will have to adapt to change, a little faster as more people read articles like mine to promote education within your religion.

Motivation Can Combat Bankruptcy

Personal financial management skills have never been so important in the history of mankind as they are now. The liberal terms and superfluous marketing techniques employed by credit card providers has made bankruptcy a term so popular that even grandmothers can tell you its meaning and even quote some sections of the ACT regulating bankruptcy.

Found in this article are the hidden potentials of motivation to help shield you from bankruptcy. Motivation is the working force of every strong desire. Without motivation, you will agree that all your desires to get out of debt and possibly avoid filling in for bankruptcy will all be in vain. Below are some tips that when backed up with motivation will help you get out of that debt that may lead to bankruptcy fast.

Self-control/Self denial and Discipline: Any human being on earth who does not have self-control, self-denial and discipline will find it very difficult if not impossible to make it in life. Credit/debit cards are like loaded gun given to a drunk. A person who lack self control and is not able to discipline him/her self is likened to a drunk handling a gun that is well loaded in the gathering of people. Self control and its associates will help you forgo certain things that are not essential (i.e luxuries). This self-control cannot be found outside motivation. A depressed, stressed and frustrated individual can never be disciplined or have self control.

To get yourself motivated, simply remind yourself that you love yourself so much that you cannot afford to risk losing all the benefits that is associated with clean financial records. Keep an eye on maintaining a clean financial record ( i.e making it your goal) i bet you will always be motivated to have self-control.

Financial Literacy: If you really want to manage your credit and avoid bankruptcy, or even get out of a near bankrupt situation, financial education is one thing that you must seriously consider. I am not saying that you take up a course in finance or accounting. No, what i mean is to always use other peoples' expertise (OPE). You can find quality financial planner online or offline. Discuss whatever venture/purchase you want to make with him/her. Ask for their opinion. In fact, ask them to tell you the financial implications of what you are about doing. Though there is nothing wrong with you being a little friendly with "figures" but you can still get away with it.

Developing a thick skin to compelling adverts: Advertisers and marketers are always researching ways to make people spend even when they don't want to spend. This is their job and they are obliged to it. And it is your sole duty to learn to say no to certain fantastic offers.

Record keeping: This will help you in the area of being disciplined. By keeping records of all your financial transactions, you can effectively and efficiently manage the possible temptation posed by advertisers

Applying common sense and being focused: Make a rational judgment as to what and what you need to buy and what not to buy.

Value Of Change In Your Life

Council of Nicaea Conclusion - The Origins of Christian Belief

In the year 325A.D the emperor of Rome, Constantine gathered a group of church bishops and other leaders who believes in Christianity. The purpose of the meeting was to define the true God for all Christians and eliminate any confusion within Christ's church.

By the end of this council, Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit were considered one and the same. Before the council, there was confusion about, whether they should believe in one God, two gods or three entities.

Here's a statement from got questions, a popular Christian website, "The Council of Nicea affirmed the deity of Jesus Christ and established an official definition of the Trinity-the deity of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit under one Godhead, in three co-equal and co-eternal Persons."

This was a pretty interesting article, if you've got time to read it, I would also suggest checking out Wikipedia for more information about the Council of Nicaea.

Here's Some of the Problems I Have with This Small Group of Proclaimed Christians.

If I'm reading this statement correctly, a group of people or religious leaders, 1700 years ago decided that Jesus, God the creator of everything in the universe and the Holy Spirit are the same. What does this mean to you? To me it establishes as a fact that a group of men, at a meeting, under the control of the Roman empire and the Emperor Constantine, made an agreement within the Council of man, not gods, that the Trinity was now a fact.

If this one thing was created by a group of men, doesn't it get you thinking about other things in your religion that might be false or even misleading. These are some of the facts that most Christians tend to either ignore or don't even have a clue that they exist.

I believe more Christians and other organized religions should inspire their followers to learn more about how their religions were formed and where they came from. I cannot verify that the Council of Nicaea ever took place, I'm basing this information on historical writings from man, that I either gather on the Internet or through books. I don't know if any of this is true or false, always use religion responsibly.

I don't need to believe the information, I don't need to believes the information in the Bible, I need to research and gather more information and with this information I can make an educated guess, and be happy with that, I suggest you do the same.

Always Question Your Religion

Use Religion Responsibly - Spiritual Humor

Well you probably heard of the problems that some people get into when they drink a little too much and start to drive their cars. This is known as drinking and driving irresponsibly and can be hazardous to your health but more hazardous to your pocketbook. Overdosing on drugs, spending too much money shopping, gambling excessively and last but not least, spending too much time at your place of worship can be hazardous to others. Over time, our loved ones seem to suffer the most from our excesses.

I suggest most people use religion responsibly and try not to overindulge in the excesses of your spiritual practice. Like an alcoholic drinking until they feel good, only to wake up feeling bad the next morning. And then starting the process all over the next day.

Now for the big question, "Are You a Religiousoholic?" Do you spend too much time at church? Do you surround yourself exclusively with people that share your same religious beliefs?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, there's a good chance you're a religiousoholic. Like alcoholics and drug addicts, there is help for you, once you've identified your problem, we can help. We call it our 5 step program. Alcoholics Anonymous has a 12 step program for recovery but we have eliminated a couple and rearranged others in hopes for a faster recovery.

Religionolism is no laughing matter and should be handled with the utmost delicacy. Start with the first step and work your way down the list and within a short period of time you should find yourself free from the religious tyranny of your institutionalized religion.

Step 1. The biggest problem you're going to happen during your recovery will be the temptation from religious followers, wanting you to come back. Like a drug addict, saying no to drugs,it's hard, you're going to have to be strong here. Learn to say no to organized religion and yes to religious freedom.

Step 2. Instead of reading Scripture, start reading about other religions around the world. You will find some weird things and new ideas, but the bottom line here is that you'll be able to see some similarities, and silliness between the religions.

Step 3. You can still spend time praying, just spend more time praying about how grateful you are, instead of praying for something you want, start spending a little more time thanking God for the things in your lives that you already have. I have spent a lot of time praying for things I never got. When I stopped praying for the things, I thought I needed, I started getting the things I really needed.

Step 4. Start spending a little more time believing in yourself, some religions seem to give all the glory and credit to their gods and very little to the people that are actually making the sacrifices. I have also noticed that when something goes wrong, some religious followers tend to punish themselves and it just doesn't seem fair. God gets all the credit when things are good and you blame yourself when things go wrong.

Step 5. Start showing a little more compassion towards people who don't think the same as you do or believe in your religion. Love and compassion are the true acts of a religious believer. I believe you'll find that in every religious scripture... somewhere.

Sometimes we get a little carried away in our beliefs and tend to beat up other people who don't share them with us. If you're part of a religion who discriminates, shows intolerance, bigotry or prejudice to other nonbelievers, maybe this isn't the religion you think it should be.

Dalai Lama - "All major religious traditions carry basically the same message, that is love, compassion and forgiveness, the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives."

Greg Vanden Berge is a published author, internet marketing expert, motivational inspiration to millions of people all over the world and is sharing some of his wisdom with experts in the fields of writing, marketing, and personal development. If we could communicate better and understand different religious philosophy and cultures.

Just how big of a deal is Money Organized Religion. Your money is used for various things and some of them, you might not really want to spend the money on. Something to think about.

If you want to read something funny and get your daily laugh in, you need to read this, it's funny Using Religion Responsibility. It's based on overindulgence.

Faith - Belief Or Education? - Find Out Why You Believe in Your Religion

Whenever I ask someone involved in a religious organization, the question, do you really believe in your religion? Most of these people will often answer would be yes and start their religious conversion. Some of these people can become very intrusive if I don't stop them soon, very few of these people listen with an open mind.

I have talked to quite a few men and women about their beliefs over the years and still find it hard to believe that most of them live a life of faith with very little understanding or education about their religion. Now some strong believers might take offense to that statement, while others will listen to what I said and start doing a little more research on their religion.

Most of these religions throughout the world make perfectly good sense to their followers and I understand the reasoning behind some of them, it's all they know, everyone around them believes in the same religion and they get some sort of happiness and joy from it.

It's not hard to imagine a young child, walking around with strong religious beliefs if their parents are strong believers in it also. These children grow up and eventually train their children to follow the same path of their parents. Our children should be able to choose, what they will believe in, by the time they are adults.

This is a natural process of life, your parents learned from their parents and whenever someone asked them a question that they really couldn't answer or were uncomfortable answering, they can always reply with, I'm living a life based on faith or you just have to believe. You have to believe that someone is looking out for you and taking care of you. Most of these people think that something else is responsible for the events that take place in their life.

Is it possible for people that live a life of faith to educate themselves about their religion, to find the origin and maybe the destination of their religions. Could these people actually assume responsibility for their choices, whether they're good or bad. It's often hard to listen to somebody tell me that some evil entity made them do something bad. These people are easily convinced by others who agree with them and support them with their statements and beliefs. This seems to be where the biggest problem lies.

Once the people around us support our beliefs, they soon become realities in our lives. These realities will be transferred to others around us and give them support eventually about their beliefs. It's like a vicious circle that never ends. One believe supports another belief, until it's a fact.

Education is the path to freedom and will soon deliver the students from religious bondage. Someone a long time ago said," Seek and You Shall Find, Knock on My Door and I Will Open It.

Motivational Humorous Speakers

Motivational humorous speakers can help to inspire people to laugh more at meetings, if you follow these simple yet effective suggestions below.

Aptness of Humorous Speakers for Meetings

Ideally, business meetings should be interesting, engaging, effective, and provide a platform for a smooth exchange of ideas. Meetings should be conducted in a relaxed atmosphere to encourage the emergence of path breaking ideas and effective dissemination of information. Importantly, business meetings should have an element of cheerfulness or fun underlying its proceedings. Are business meetings fun at all? They should be, but they are not. That's why you should consider hiring a motivational humorous speaker for your next motivational humorous speaker meeting.

Far from being funny and peppy, business meetings are made to be solemn affairs. Visualize a typical meeting scenario - do you see people falling off their seats with laughter or you see people frozen with seriousness, with their mobile phones switched off, body highly strung with stress, and their minds on "alert" mode? The latter image is more likely to form than the former. How often do we see an executive jumping with joy and proclaiming that he has a big meeting scheduled the next day? Very rarely. The topic of meetings have staidness writ all over them. Meetings are serious events. Unfortunately, they are invariably made to turn out that way when actually the need of the hour is - meetings should be easy, fun and yet purposeful - motivational humorous speaker to the rescue.

Professional motivational speakers meet this cardinal need of the world of business as they are gifted with the ability to transform drab and boring business meetings in to beautiful, lively and engaging platforms. Funny motivational speakers are much sought after for they have the knack of diffusing unwanted tension in the air of a meeting room. Meeting attendees' like to laugh and appreciate a motivational humorous speakers' wit and commitment to making the meeting successful.

Inspirational motivational speakers become indispensable when meetings become events where motivation is in short supply; the underachievers are pulled up; and competitors are lauded grudgingly for their successes. Keynote laughter speakers lighten up the atmosphere and put things in perspective in business meetings where big monetary figures are put on the tables; falling graphs are dissected to tiny atoms to be analyzed; and achievements are celebrated briefly only to facilitate the announcement of the next set of ambitious and sometimes over-ambitious business goals.

Persistence Or Failure In Goals

Windshield Chip Repair - What to Expect

Where Windshield Repair Professionals Work

Although you can probably get your windshield repaired at any traditional auto body or auto glass replacement shop, the best providers of this kind of service are specialty windshield chip repair professionals. These businesses are not only better at doing quality work and offering service guarantees, but they also offer mobile services. This means that you simply have to make a phone call, and they'll meet you at your home, office, or other convenient location to complete the windshield repairs without taking any more of your valuable time.

Most auto glass repair companies work traditional workday hours and provide special weekend hours by appointment, as well. Remember, the goal is for the repairs to be done on a timeline that is convenient for you. The best windshield repair companies know this and promote it.

Your Windshield Repair Obligations

In addition to setting up an appointment, you will most likely be asked to provide the keys to your vehicle and an area in which to get the work accomplished. This doesn't mean you need to find a covered garage or ask your co-workers to move their cars; you simply have to ensure that your windshield repair professional can get into and around your car easily. Most auto glass repair techniques require access to both the inside and outside of the windshield, with a little extra space for tools.

Extreme weather conditions might also affect the process of windshield chip repair, so if you expect untimely rain or excessive heat or cold, you may need to either reschedule or find a location out of the elements. Most windshield repair shops plan for these contingencies, though, so you should never be charged more for unforeseen circumstances outside of your control.

Getting Started with Windshield Chip Repair

If you're like most drivers today, you'll spend quite a bit of time on the road. This means a greater chance for flying debris. Over the span of ten years, it's not uncommon for a car to need several windshield chip repairs. That's why you should always choose a windshield chip repair company with proven experience in the field and a commitment to customer service - especially when it comes to customer expectations.

Analyze your reasons - Do you have a clear picture in mind about why are you making the change? Are you going through a lifestyle change, perhaps looking for a new career or moving to a new position on the housing scale? Do you need more space for your family, belongings or simply crave a better setting for relaxation? Writing down an answer to these questions and clarifying your reasons will make it much easier to proceed. You'll find this very useful when communicating with the other individuals involved in the selling process.

Market value - It's important to find out the market value of your home before listing. Know what you can expect and ask what adjustments could you make to your house that will get you more money in the end for your investment.

Pre-listing house inspection - Opting for a pre-listing inspection can significantly speed up the selling process. There are many benefits to this - your buyer will know what to expect but you'll also know about any defects to be fixed before anyone would consider your property.

Get your home ready -Make adjustments, repair and otherwise improve the property based on your research in the point above. Don't underestimate how much time do these steps take and factor in your timing needs.

Timing is crucial - To get the most out of the selling process, you need to understand whether you're in a buyers or a sellers market. The latter makes it very easy to sell your home at market value or above. A buyers market requires better marketing and certainly the help of a professional At this point is also important to decide: What is more important given your current situation, selling your home faster or for more?

FSOB or a realtors assistance? - If you haven't before, decide whether you want to market your home by yourself or benefit from the assistance of a real estate agent. In theory, the first option can save you money, but it's rather questionable whether the efforts will be worth the time. An agent will likely have better negotiating skills and have more options at his/her hand. Ask your realtor about the combination of these two options and see if you can arrange a deal that is good for both sides.

Marketing - When you've decided upon your selling method, it's now time to think about marketing. Getting your property on the MLS should be the first priority. There are many other options - print media & tv advertisement, for sale signs for example - but your best bet is the Internet. There are so many options here that only your imagination and effort is the limits. Ask your realtor what options can he or she offer. Craigslist is one of your best bets.

Showings - Staging your home and tasteful decoration of your interiors and exteriors can push up the final selling price significatly. Depending on the market value of your property, you should consider touching things up yourself or even hiring a designer. Your realtor should also be able to provide you with tips and good advice on the topic. Don't forget to check some of the related articles on our site!

Paperwork - Get prepared and know how you'll handle all the paperwork in advance. The closing process can involve a truly amazing amount documents to sign, and sadly they are often delivered at the last minute. What you can do is to request copies of the standard contracts and look them over carefully, discussing with your realtor and possibly a lawyer as well. Keep in mind that it's in your interest to move quickly in this step. The period between the time an offer is presented and your response is critical - buyers are free to withdraw from the transaction at any point.

How To Hire a Home Stager

Home stagers have the ability to show off your homes best features. With some paint, some cleaning and decluttering, and some knowledgeable furniture placement, your home will shine above others in the same market.

The goal of home staging is to sell your home faster and for more money. Home stagers can do this because they know what the buyers want and know how to produce those wants in your home whether your home is a million dollar mansion or a modest starter home.

How do you know if a stager is a good one? Here are a few tips:

1. The stager knows the market. They know what the buyers in YOUR area want and expect. They stage your home accordingly.

2. If you are asking for more than a consultation (the stager will actually be doing the work in your home), you should be able to see before and after photos. These can be shown by the stager via the Internet or a brochure.

3. Like with many service providers, a great way to find out about a home stagers experience and expertise is to ask around! If they are good, you will find others that tell you so. A good place to start is with real estate agents in your area.

4. Price does not equal experience and expertise. Once again, be sure that you see photos and ask around. New stagers may be a bit cheaper and have great expertise. Experienced stagers may be more expensive but have less expertise!

No matter who you pick, the stager should be able to transform your home into an incredible, sell-able house!

Should You Buy a House in 2009?

The housing market and general economy is still falling, yet the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) has reported that in December 2008 there was a slight increase in activity with potential buyers and sellers tempted into the market, possibly by successive interest rates. There was a rise in both those looking to buy a house and the number of new properties that came on the market. First time buyers, having been priced out of the market for so long, bought 10.8% of the properties sold. In addition, the average number of sales made per agent held steady in December even though this is traditionally a quiet month. Some agents reported a small rise in house prices which the NAEA suggest may indicate that the rate at which prices are falling had slowed in some areas, rather than that the prices had reached a trough. The number of househunters rose from 186 to 200 and the numbers of properties agents had on the books rose from 87 to 100. The number of sales agreed per agent held steady at 6.

However, in comparison, early in January this year the Financial Times had asked the question "Will 2009 be a year to buy property?" and gathered the views of over 50 economists. Over 60% believed that 2009 would not be a good year to buy property, whilst the remaining economists believed that, particularly towards the end of the year, it could be safe to buy a property. There was an interesting mix of views. On the side that believe 2009 will be a year to buy property the reasons given were that buying real assets such as property would be protection against a decline in currency. Interest rates are expected to remain low throughout the year and by the end of 2009, although lending will remain tough, there may be more credit available particularly if the government steps up its intervention. Some economists believe that the market will have bottomed out by the end of 2009 and some buyers will then be enticed back into the market by the combination of low prices and low interest rates.

For those against the idea of buying property in 2009 the key belief is that property prices will remain simply too high in comparison to earnings and credit availability. Some economists expect property prices to continue to fall into 2010 and bottom out during that year - Capital Economics expects prices to fall a further 20%, Global Insight 15% and JPMorgan 10%. However, one economist predicts that the house price falls will continue into 2014. Factors to support the continued falls are ongoing credit restrictions, still stretched affordability, rising unemployment with muted economic growth, and the negative expectations that the market will continue to fall. And of course, with the recession biting potential buyers may delay buying due to fears of their job security.

As a whole there seems no rush to buy property. The country is in recession, 2009 will see huge rises in unemployment, lending is expected to remain constrained and as a result the demand will be low. Of course some people will have to move house due to personal reasons and the desire for home ownership and the personal benefits that owning your own home can bring. Transactions will therefore continue to trickle, but the idea of buying a property as a good investment i.e. the buy-to-let market, is some way off. However, post-recession and in the years following economic recovery we could see another housing boom due to an undersupply of housing, increasingly affordable property and a new, more secure banking system. During 2009 property sold at auctions and those that are in need of repair and renovation will be sold at very low prices and bargains will be easily found. If you buy in 2009, offer low and assume to hold your property for some time.

Home Insurance Policy For Flood-Prone Areas

For residents who live near the coastlines or along rivers and lakes, flooding will be more of a problem than ever. It is the same case with people who live in low-lying areas or near dams. Cleaning up after floods and repairing the damages they left costs a considerable amount of money. Unfortunately, most traditional home insurance policies list flood damages in their exclusions so the homeowners will have to shoulder all the expenses themselves.

In recent years though, there have been a notable increase in the number of insurance policies that offer flood protection. Thanks to the United States government and the National Flood Insurance Program, homeowners who live in flood-prone areas will now be able to get a home insurance policy that can really help protect them and their homes.

A typical flood protection home insurance policy has considerably higher premiums that any other traditional home insurance policy. If you ask around for home insurance policy quotes, you will see that most policies with flood protection will cost an additional $500 to $1,000 in your annual premium, depending on the exact location of your home.

But if you ask anyone who has experienced flooding in the past, they will tell you that the additional amount is more than worth it especially if it can cover the expenses in rebuilding and refurnishing their home. Most of these flood insurance policies can give you up to $150,000 in claims for an average-cost home. The actual amount will depend on the assessed value of your home.

Flooding actually will not cause much structural damage to a home especially if the walls are made of concrete and if the flood subsides quickly. But a home insurance policy is necessary to cover the damages done to the interiors of the house as well as the non-structural items such as furniture and appliances. This is the expensive part since almost all of these items will be damaged and will need to be replaced.

Finding a Homeowner Insurance policy that will cover flood damages will still be quite tough but it's not as impossible as it was before. Who knows, maybe your own insurance company already offers this option. You can start by asking them so you can just add the flood protection to your existing home insurance policy. This will save you the trouble of taking out a new home insurance policy from other companies. You may even be able to save a bit on the premium since you already hold an existing home insurance policy with the company.

If your existing home insurance policy does not have such optional add-ons, you can search the internet for other companies that offer flood protection.

Get Rid of Your Realtor and You Will Pocket a Lot More Money

It has been proven to homeowners that if you can sell your own home, you will not lose as much money as if you let a real estate agent sell it for you. Realtots will add money to the price of the house just so they can earn more money or commission. The main things that homeowners like when using a real estate agent is the agent has MLS access, will do all the paperwork, and help with the pricing information. While this may be easier on the homeowner, it is not to their advantage.

At first, the real estate agent will take a standard commission to the bottom of the selling price of the house. After the commission, they will also charge for promotional services, negotiating the price assistance, and screening of the buyers. Before it is all said and done, the real estate agent will end up with large percentage of the selling price when all of this is added in.

Most real estate agents will try to persuade the seller to take the first offer. Studies have shown that most agents will move toward the actions that help with their own financial interest than the sellers. Most of the time the real estate agent is going to hike the price of your house so they will get more money.

Believe me when I say that the real estate agent is not your friend and does not have your best interest at heart. They are there for themselves and do everything they can to make more money. They will not tell the seller about all the things they will take from the price of the house for things that they did to sell it.

There are proven steps you can take that will allow you to sell your own home. Remember that nobody knows your home like you do.

Do not let the state of the economy keep you from selling your house. There are proven steps that will guarantee that you will sell your home. If you want to skip the part where you pay a realtor a big commission to help you sell your own home then Click Here

The Many Types of Palm Trees

There are thousands of species of Palm Trees. They are considered to be tropical in nature, but most people are not aware that cold hardy palms may be planted outside without any visible damage from temperatures as cold as -20F. You can see this as far north as Canada and Switzerland

Palm trees, like banana trees, give your home and garden that tropical look, usually found around pools and family recreational areas. Once established, Palm Trees are relatively maintenance free and are not significantly bothered by insects and disease.

There are two basic types of Palm trees and we will tell you about the Northern and Southern Palms.

Cold Palms (Northern Palms)

Afghanistan palm - Pakistan Palm and Mazari Palm - This palm may be the coldest hardy in the world, according to authoritative doctors on the subject of Palms. Their fruit is also edible and very popular to eat in that impoverished nation. The tree grows very slowly and thrives in desert conditions.

Dwarf Palmetto or Sabal minor - Blue Palmetto is widely distributed throughout the Southeastern United States and grows about 6ft. tall in shaded locations. This Palm is very difficult to transplant from the wild.

Canary Island Date Palm - Phoenix canariensis or Majestic Palm. Is the most desirable palm to give a tropical look to the landscape. The trees grow about 50ft tall with leaves up to 20ft long.

Chinese Fan Palm is a slow growing palm; forms very large leaves, which will give a full-grown, tree a look of weeping. This palm can withstand below freezing weather, and can grow inside patios. You can find this palm tree along highways. This type of palm tree can grow up to 25ft tall.

Date Palm is the true date palm of North Africa. It has been planted widely in Arizona and California for production of dates. Date palms work well in mall landscaping.

Gum Palm is cold hardy to light freezes, but will freeze in weather below 20F. The long leaves look like fern fronds, but the leaflets are bright shiny green in colour and stiff and sharply toothed.

European Fan Palm or European Palm. Has a large crown of blue-green fanlike leaves. This palm is considered to be one of the coldest hardy and grows outside. The plant can be relocated and will survive easy with little transplant shock when moved, even in during the summer months.

Pygmy Date Palm is a good container plant when potted indoors. Fine-leafed, small scale, single-trunked palm; grows slowly up to about 5ft.

Washingtonian Palm or Mexican Fan Palm has a tall slender trunk, has a crown of large fan-shaped evergreen fronds, and can provide a very tropical appearance to the landscape.
